Its the sad US landscape of lower league sports in the US. Typically it has been gross mismanagement of funds or sometimes an owner thinking, this isn't an amazing tax write-off anymore. I believe the biggest issue with Reno 1868 FC going away, was the fact that (in the regular season at least) they were dominate; ranking 3rd best since inception with only Louisville and Phoenix better. Smallest market in Top 2 tiers and i believe 4 smallest market in the top 3 tiers of US soccer.
I do not wish this on anyone in the world to lose their club and its just sad.
